Which still does not help too much if one has several instances of a program 
running :P
(sorry, no empirical data hinting the relevancy available).

My real 2 cents:
Being consistent with the environment should have priority. Even if the 
environment is worse (and thus it makes another environment like KDE shine 
even better ;)
