But we can't simply modify KFileDialog because it would be behaviour=20
incompatible.

As we three were discussing on IRC, legacy applications asking for=20
"KFile::File" are really asking for URLs they can just call localPath()=20
and open it. They have no concept of media:/ or devices:/ or system:/.

New KDE applications (i.e., >=3D 3.4) should instead expect any local-class=
=20
URL and work with the mostLocalURL.

The third mode we discussed is the "remote allowed" kind of applications,=20
for which it doesn't matter whether the URL is local or remote.
