Quite some time ago, I was shown by a friend "Active Bookmarks", a php app
that serves as a server-bound bookmarking utility. The niceties I liked most
were usage scores, fast searching and merging (with someone else's
bookmarks).
I wrote in my todo to look into this for konq, but of course I stalled at the
"write in the todo" stage, thanks to my incredible laziness when it comes to
KDE.
I think with the latest additions to keditbookmarks (related to statistics)
and with the data collected by the history functionalities, we could develop
a kickarse bookmark browsing mode for konqueror, that could be the default
display for webbrowsing profile as well as for about:bookmarks (or
something).
I don't know when I will be able to first look into this, I don't know how
would this be better built (something like an ioslave or simply a static html
page built on demand) but I think we have the opportunity to show innovation
in this area.
Thanks for listening.
