People are most of the time "managing files" ?
Konqy is more than a file manager, it's a "everything browser".
People use it to manage files, opening files, browsing the web, etc.
I think konqy needs to support different home url's for different profiles.
And we should provide three konqy profiles by default:
full-featured konqueror for power users: all features, maybe a bit crowded,
$(HOME) as home
konqy as a specialized browser (think firefox, safari): simplified UI via
XMLGUI, maybe a different home
konqy as a, easy-to-use filemanager (think rox filer, OS X finder):
simplified UI via XMLGUI, not all features available, home is system:/
So for everybody who wants all features, full-featured classic konqy is there.
For all other users there are two streamlined profiles.
And I think the ability to switch profiles from within konqy can be removed,
IMO it's a geek features. It's enough if we can select the profile when konqy
starts.

I also had the impression that the current about:-page is almost exactly the
same as system:/. They should be merged in some way.
And I still don't really understand the concept of the home:/ ioslave. Doesn't
it just complicate things ?
Bye
