I think i don't understand your question, menus always show all the available 
items IIRC, it's only comboboxes that define a "viewport" on the list of 
avaible items, this method i added lets you change the number of items in 
that viewport, i use it to make all items visible, but someone may just use 
it to change it from 10 to 5 because he thinks 10 is too much.
