Oh, well. Seems like I'm the bad guy here, since I didn't follow the thread at this time and opened a bugzilla wishlist item for exactly such a dropdown. Available at http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97519. But, considering how I've used the KMail quick search by now, it's not as intuitive and "quick" as normal search within the mail body is. When using quick search, you always have to remember what the subject was, and the subject often differs from its contents that you remember. So in most cases I don't even consider using quick search and go directly for Find Messages. Regards, Jakob
