I hope you've reported this bug long ago when 1.6.2 was the latest 
stable KMail version. It would be good to know whether the problem is 
still reproducible with KMail 1.7.2 (KDE 3.3.2) and/or KMail 1.7.91 
(KDE 3.4 Beta1).
