kdemultimedia (3.1.4, 3.2.1, 3.2.2) on Solaris 8/9 SPARC with SunProCC 
does not handle ogg or mp3. it can only handle *.wav.

artsplay, ogg123 and mpg123 (for *.mp3) work fine, though.
