I mark stuff as JJ whenever it seems appropriate (wishlist, not that much work, fairly well defined what needs to be done). I promote it whenever I can, too, when people show up asking "I'm new and want to help." Not to mention regularly posting http://bugs.kde.org/buglist.cgi?short_desc_type=allwordssubstr&short_desc=JJ% 3A&bug_status=UNCONFIRMED&bug_status=NEW&bug_status=ASSIGNED&bug_status=REOPENED&bug_severity=wishlist&cmdtype=doit as the link to get all the JJs. You can see that not many developers - nor the quality teams - are marking wishlist items as suitable for starting. I'll see if I can poke Fab at the dot to put up something about it. - -- "On top of that [watching KDE CVS] is interesting in a perverse way, like watching sausage get made.
