Please think about the implications of renaming.
The framework is a client-server model and is called 'Get Hot New Stuff'.
The KDE client support library for the framework is called KNewStuff.
(There might be client libraries for other environments in the future.)
The server-side automation scripts are called Hotstuff.

I like this a lot :-) and thus hesitate to rename it. However, as a non-native 
English speaker, I will do so if
a) the word 'stuff' is really offending, and
b) substitutions for all of the above are found.

Personally, I do not want to restrict it to 'data' updates, as partial 
application updates can also be performed with it (go kdebindings), and one 
day we might confront another renaming then.
