I think that we don't need to bother with this.. Been a packager is a hell 
anyway :-)
As i used to touch Java packages mixed with RPM things, old packages with 
projects that use just Makefile, etc, etc, etc, i suppose that packaging is  
curse and ac/am is just one component in our personal hell.. :-)
