That's pretty unfair! konqueror and konsole only give you the option to have more docs in it. quanta and kdevelop is real MDI which even MS have been wise enough to move away from. I simply don't use the MDI features in konsole and konqueror, and MDI is among the bigger reasons why I won't use kate, quanta and kdevelop. Windows inside other windows are a relic from the time of broken windowmanagers. That some apps give possibilities like tabs or a emacs buffers or whatever is *not* the same thing. And just because some apps specifically bypass the UI styles doesn't mean the styles should be changed. IMHO the apps should be fixed instead. In short: Please *don't* add QExtMDI to kdelibs.
