Am I missing something? Ok, I'm probably not the best person to answer this, but here it goes, the = way=20 I see it: the development isn't halted. It's just that HEAD is, at this time, targete= d=20 to the 3.1 release. So, things that don't go into 3.1, don't go into HEAD,= =20 right? If you want to develop more things that won't be for 3.1, you can=20 develop in a branch, like the make_it_cool branch or the KDE_3_0_BRANCH. Soon, however, HEAD will be branched and the KDE_3_1_BRANCH will be created= ,=20 from where the 3.1.1, 3.1.2 and whatever other releases will be made, if=20 necessary. HEAD, at that time, will begin full 3.2 development. You may the= n=20 merge your make_it_cool branch or whatever you named it, as well as forthpo= rt=20 (yuck!) any changes made in the 3.1 or 3.0 branches, if that happened.[ But I should like to say that, at this time, all developers should be more= =20 interested in getting 3.1 done right rather than be doing the cool new=20 features for 3.2. There's no harm in waiting a few more weeks, if it takes= =20 that much, to begin working for 3.2. 3.1, however, can't wait.
