Hi

I don't know if it is doable, but I think a nice feature would be an checkbox 
on the frontpage which allows the user to choose not to show closed bugs for 
a search term, otherwise she/he would have to use the overwhelming query 
page, which always looks confusing, even if you have used it a few times.
