 You didn't say why exactly you need to get rid of -pedantic, but in some 
cases of lame includes using -fpermissive might help. You'll probably have to 
use KDE_CHECK_COMPILER_FLAG in configure.in.in for that flag (as is done in 
admin/acinclude.m4).
