No, not really, that's the point. Now let's say I have a Kopete like app=20 and want to have a script which writes everything people wrote me while=20 I was being away to a file and says something to everyone who messaged=20 me. This would involve hooking up a plugin that would be called when: a) I'm away, b) I get a message, but iff one of these conditions is satisfied. This would involve=20 connecting handlers within the plugin to the exposed signals. So within application I would call "Menu->Load Plugin..." the plugin=20 would be loaded and the right signals connected to the corresponding=20 handlers within the plugin. With DCOP It's not a problem to write a=20 script that would write contents of a message to a file and respond to=20 users, but it's a problem to write a script which would be loaded in=20 the background during the whole application execution time and do it's=20 work only if certain signals/prerequisites are satisfied.
