But it seems to assume iKons are default. 

I prefer a splash-screen that borrows a little from the current:
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=691

It adds better teeths for konqi but keeps the theme. We only need to get rid 
of the penguin, or make a system with optional splash icons.
