Grgl. MSVC. Bah. Anyway, who is warning you?  The compiler, or the linker?
Of course they are in it's full right to warn and to cut symbol names.
It's only a recommendation, and not normative (well, OK, and normally I
would say 256 is also OK, _if_ it excludes all namespaces, classnames,
i.e. if it applies to each FQN-part individually).
