Could you try something for me?
in kprinter.cpp, make the KPrintImpl pointer a
QGuardedPtr<KPrinterImpl>,
and add checking for non NULL in KPrinter::saveSettings. Assuming that
the crash in Kare was caused by that dangling pointer, the problem
should
be solved.
As I said, I can't test it myself, so could you try this?
