Follow-up:
I think I found the problem. kdenetwork seems to contain it's own admin
directory for the AEGYPTEN_BRANCH. All of the files are in the "Attic". For
cvs update on HEAD it seems that this deletes all of the files.
Do I have something wrong in my .cvsrc :
cvs -q -z9
diff -u
update -dP
checkout -P
