I've a small problem in kate and I can't figure out, why this happens.

If I open recent files in the menu. (Click File , Click Open Recent, Click 
Open filename) I get the following backtrace from time to time. It seams that 
it happens more often the large the file is, but I'm not sure. The 
interesting thing is that it only happens if I open the file with by using 
the menu item. I can't reproduce it with opening the file with the open file 
dialog.

I don't think that it related to my highlighting changes.  Can someone else 
reproduce this behaviour with a current kwrite/kate  or a kwrite/kate older 
than 48 hours (But CVS Head) ?  I most often get the crash by opening 
kdebase/Makefile.

Is this a problem of QT, KDE, or my impossibility to write working code ?

(Popup) menus don't seem to work correctly at the moment installation at the 
moment. The selection doesn't move when I move the mouse, the mainmenu popups 
sometimes need a double click, ..... (Could this be related)
