Greetings
As all of you know I have been slowly adding a standard set of DCOP
interfaces to KDE. So far KMainWindow and KApplication contain the only
functional ones.
Here is a list of the other classes I am considering adding on interfaces to:
KTextEdit
Adding support for all of the separate interface classes so that
any application that uses KTextEdit can have dcop interfaces for
the separate functions.
KDialogBase
Adding the ability to send button events
K*Dialog
These will be added as I have time
Now there has been some talk about the Object Proxy that allows people to see
QObjects via DCOP. This is a neat idea, but judging by its less than
extensive use I am assuming it is difficult if not impossible to use. This
is the reason why I have been going about adding these DCOP interfaces. The
other reason is to try to come up with a standard set of DCOP calls that
people can remember and use more extensively. If anyone has any comments,
ideas or concerns on this issue please let me know.
