Dear fellow community members,

Unfortunately, the calm after the storm (yes, I know the saying is "before the 
storm" - bear with me) never came, and for a few weeks after the mega-release, 
social media was wall to wall with bug reports.

Some of us (me) are not technically savvy enough to solve the problems users 
were sending to Reddit, Lemmy, et al, so we tried directing them to Bugzilla 
where they could be addressed. Surprisingly (/s) that didn't stop threads 
degenerating into flames, because, you know: Reddit.

Despite the expected hiccups of a release this big, things eventually settled 
down... Except then someone decided to install a global theme 🤦.

Anyway, apart from wrestling with miffed users, we also did all these things: 

## Promo Highlights for Weeks 11 & 12 - 2024

### Things done

* Started organising participation in LUDOVIA #21 event
* In talks with truOS to co-participate in the adoption of KDE software in the 
Indian public administration
* Started organising FOSSAsia, Akademy-es and potential non-FLOSS related 
events on workboard
* Helped kick off SCaLE21x and rallied staff and attendees
* Update the Timeline website with Plasma 6 launch news item
* Resolved "bug" adding LabPlot to for/students page
* Met with TruBit management from Bengaluru to work on promoting KDE in the 
states of Karnataka and Assam, India
* Managed the PR side of the "A Plasma Theme Hosed my home dir!!!" crisis

* Working on Annual Report 2023
* Working on the Fundraising Newsletter
* Working on the presentation for the Advisory Board
* Finish updating websites to Plasma 6
* Supporting community members to organize FOSSAsia
* Supporting community members to organize event in Costa Rica
* Supporting community members in organizing Augsburger Linux-Infotag.
* Supporting community member in organizing Plasma 6 release party in China.

### Ongoing projects and periodic tasks

* Finding and solving mistakes in websites and wikis
* Moderating social media
* Monthly data collection from LinkedIn and donations
* Weekly data collection on followers from Twitter, Mastodon and Instagram.
* Daily data collection from mentions of KDE, Kdenlive, Krita, etc., from 
media across the web.
* Daily update of progress bar and Hall of Fame on supporting member campaign 
page
