Despite your precautions, I'm afraid that suspected troll's MUA has 
revealed its owner's own identity in one of his mail's headers:

But despite my poor mythological knowledge, I think Internet trolls are 
characterized not just by being useless, but also by being intentionally 
disruptive, and on that basis I think no one in this thread (either as 
participant or topic) and including you, is acting like a troll. There 
are surely some participants which are partially unproductive or 
counter-productive, but no one had accused anyone of bad faith so far.

Seriously now, I wish we can go back to that minimally respectful 
standard. If you have something to contribute here, even if that's 
criticism of what was said, feel free, but please be specific, and 
constructive (and avoid ad hominem attacks - as you can see, 
name-calling can be very easy, but is rarely productive).
