I would for sure hate losing all those years of history and discussion for the 
Krita forums. Posted artwork, discussions, development suggestions, answers to 
questions.

I do know that when blenderartists migrated to discourse, they needed a 
kickstarter to fund that: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1072051946/
blenderartists-20-were-moving-to-discourse .

That's a much bigger community, of course.
