Glad to hear it's not planned :)
As I said, they currently seem to not be integrated at all, as I failed to find a \
switch (per-page or global).

There's no intention to remove translations. Texts will possibly
change, especially if the promo team starts working on the website
again.
If you really are concerned, I suggest you step forward and help make
sure it's integrated as it should.
