I have in the past approached several companies trying to get them to
support KDE e.V, and one of my selling points have been to be "first in
thought" when kde people are looking for jobs.

I do not see any better short term reason for a company to invest in a R&D
environment but for detecting and incorporating talent. Even in the case of
such company consuming the technology we produce.

We are extremely successful with GSoC. I wonder if we can find a simple way
to add a later phase where those students and work get exposed to companies
looking for talent.

Best Regards

Agustin
