I include Calligra, Krita, KDevelop and Amarok in the Self Released category.  Maybe \
that'll get changed in repo-metadata but it's hardly important.

If the review can be automated that would be great but so far that's
not the case and issues are frequently brought up.

As a packager I often come across the same issues as kdereview should
because, as pointed out, we only do a 1 off review, but it's nicer to
have that 1 off than nothing while there's no automation.

I didn't include krazy/ebn in the sanity checklist because I never got
an answer on how relevant it is to the process.  As others have said
it's more about project infrastructure being sane rather than code
being high quality.
