Hmm, does kdevelop really compile for anyone ?
I get this :

from /mnt/devel/kde/kde2/kdevelop/kdevelop/main.cpp:23:
/mnt/devel/kde/kde2/kdevelop/kdevelop/kpp/kpp.h:24: projectView.h: No such file or \
directory

and it doesn't look even related to srcdir!=builddir.
main.cpp includes kpp/kpp.h, so projectView.h can't obviously be found
(it's in kpp/ as well).

One solution is -I$(srcdir)/kpp -Ikpp in the Makefile.am, and the including
kpp.h instead of kpp/kpp.h is possible - and projectView.h will be found.
The other is that kpp.h includes kpp/projectView.h, with a -I..
