yes but it still looks like the kdemini and kde2 normal apps are still not 
generateing there desktop files at all.

also they are adding <appname>.xpm when it should be
lo32-app-<appname>.png for KDE2.  This is so the icon loader can find your
icons correctly.  Are these missing in the templates?

Otherwise I was able to create a new kicker applet and generate an rpm from
it, so things are looking up.  I am still tweaking the KPP UI but that should 
be finishing up yet.
