Hmm, will not work 100% like now, but acinclude.m4.in now defines a
make-var $(CONF_FILES) to be the content of configure.files at configure
time. It works in most circumstances. If "subdirs" or one of the files in
configure.files change, it gets recreated, a new "configure" is built,
which is run thereby defining a new $(CONF_FILES). It might break here and
there, if subdir are created, or files get deleted, but well.

So, the rules now can be:
$(top_srcdir)/configure.in: $(top_srcdir)/configure.files $(CONF_FILES)

(as in kdelibs/Mkaefile.am)
