The problem is that the plugger Netscape plugin registers=20 image/x-png which conflicts with image/png. The InitialPreference value i= n=20 the mime type .desktop files is ignored for services with different mime=20 type, but the same file extension. This is a fundamental problem of the m= ime=20 type system in kde with those cases. Konqi will find the x-png mime type=20 first and will only present mime type handler for x-png. So kview and pix= er=20 have lost. What I will do maybe in nspluginscan is that I will check which extension= s of=20 a potential new mime type are registered already. These will be removed f= rom=20 the nsplugin mime type list. In the above case a x-png mime type will be=20 created in ~/.kde/share/mimelnk, but it won't be assigned to the png=20 extension.
