Simon's right, better let the connect up to the application code.
The partmanager doesn't know about the builder anymore.
Simplified the signal (one arg only) so that the connect doesn't look so weird.
(Any case where the _old_ part is important ? We could emit another signal
before in this case : partNotActiveAnymore() :) )
