Log Message:
path name was being prepended on library name where it shouldn't have
been.  Resulted in things like:

couldn't dlopen /usr/lib//usr/lib/kimg_eps.la (file not found) 
couldn't init module kimgio_init_eps (invalid handle)!

Did QDir change?
