You must treat it as what it is: a catalog of existing knowledge. I knew most
of the patterns, but I can also readily admit that there were several concepts
I had never heard of. Also, the trade-offs between the different design choices
are very helpful to me. It is more a book from practitioners for practitioners,
not what the people in the ivory tower tend to like.

But if you want to read the really fun pattern stuff, go for the three PLOP
conference proceedings. Now, there are weird patterns...

Let's see... I have almost found someone to take over the core of KChart so
that I can finish the UI and then move to KRam.
