As promised I re-tested (even just now), and kdepimlibs's build system still 
fails to define LDAP_FOUND properly in the .cpp files, which causes the 
compile phase to fail on undefined symbols.

What CMake are you using that sets all-caps LDAP_FOUND? If it requires a 
special FindLdap.cmake, where is it and/or does it require specific CMake 
module path handling to find?
