SVN commit 1010960 by trueg:

Backport of the change from a local event loop in the main thread to usage of \
QWaitCondition. This change is interwoven with my last commit which is, thus, also \
backported. But since it sort of "fixes" the handling of pimo things that link to \
files it can be seen as a bugfix. :) In any case, it will improve the searching \
experience in 4.3.1 a lot.
