Where did you get that? conversion_check.h in kdecore/config/ doesn't
indicate that and neither does any of the API dox (AFAIK). 

And actually we have QVariantList containing QStringList, if thats not
storable in KConfig then thats a bug (as QVariantList itself is
supported as long as it contains only one of the other supported types).
