remove ConfigureDialogWidth and ConfigureDialogHeight options form your kmailrc
there is a hack that hardcodes config dialog size into config file.

i've just renamed those options so that old settings won't be used
+ made boxes on the right grow more than boxes on the left
(you can see boxes on the left may be shrinked w/o text being cut)


having config dialog grow horizontally is better than having it grow
vertically -
because dialog can be dragged horizontally via titlebar
(and newbies usually don't discover alt-holding drag feature to drag
via apy point)
