I don't like the sound of this. The author of userfriendly doesn't like
this either:

"Please do not scrape or script-hammer UF. Not only does it hurt us
financially, it's terribly impolite"

And:

Q. What's with the ads on the site?

A. The lion's share of UF's revenue comes from advertising. We don't
accept ads that take over the browser, like pop-unders or eyeblasters.
We do take standard animated ads, some flash ads and a very few "Rich
Media" ads that show video. If you don't like ads but want to continue
visiting UF, we offer a way to turn those ads off: Buy a Membership.
Memberships support my work at UF and help keep this site afloat!

Q. I don't like ads, so I'll block them, and I don't want to pay you.
Find a different business model.

A. Ah! Are you related?

If a coder releases software under a shareware license, and you use his
work for free, and do away with his nag screens without paying him, does
the response "Find a different business model" put you on some kind of
moral high ground? Does the fact that you simply disagree with his use
of nag screens make it okay for you to bypass them without paying for
his work?

Basically you're not showing their ads while you are stealing their
bandwidth. Even if this is legal I think it's pretty dodgy from a moral
point of view.

Also, surely not kdebase.
