Qt 4.2's QLabel has the ability to select text (see textInteractionFlags) and 
has the ability of handling links (either handled by the application using 
the linkActivated signal or using QDesktopServices, see openExternalUrls 
property). The only missing feature right now seems to be text squeezing of 
plain text, which didn't really work with KSqeezedTextLabel either since it 
used KStringHandler::cPixelSqueeze that broke entirely with complex 
languages. We're looking into the possibility of adding that feature to 
QLabel.
