I'm currently converting KAlarm to use resources. I've had to create some new
resource classes inherited from ResourceCached, and the way they work is that the
read-only status of an event is determined by looking at the combination of the
read-only status of the resource, and the read-only status of the event. When the
user toggles a resource between read-only and read-write, this has the advantage of
not having to reload the resource in order to reset the read-only status of
individual incidences. The way the libkcal classes have worked, the individual read-
only statuses of incidences is obliterated when you load a read-only resource.

Cheers,
David.
