Fixing these "fooString.toLatin1().constData()" calls, as they make problems:
if you store the resulting ptr, it's directly destructed again as the QByteArray
is destructed the next line -> fix it by saving fooString.toLatin1() in a temp var

According to valgrind this fixes some invalid reads, introduced lately,
and the path parsing works reliable again...
