I'm not sure you understood what it is I committed...
Anyway, KDE 4 is not supposed to depend on aRts. But on the other hand aRts=
=20
has to continue to work while KDE 4 is running. For some rare cases this=20
might mean that KDE 4 has to use artsd for audio output.
