This kind of argument is where "GUI bloat" comes from - if we can't ever remove 
a menu-item, the GUI only grows and grows...

"everything integrates nicely" is not really an argument for this precise feature.
I mean, should we "integrate kaddressbook nicely" by having a kdesktop-RMB submenu 
with all your contacts, so you can easily mail them? How much does that small
popup need to "integrate"? ;)

Bookmarks are already nicely integrated in the K menu, which is the place to start
stuff, so it's a much more logical place than kdesktop's RMB.

At least once a day - which in my case is actually more than "how often do you open a bookmark"
(I tend to use url completion instead).

But that's not the point. When you log out, you might have closed enough windows first to
be able to right click on your desktop. But when you open bookmarks, your desktop is
most probably covered with windows already, so finding some room to right-click the
desktop can be a bit difficult - compared to simply pressing Alt-F1 for instance...
