Even if he only removed the messages?? (Haven't check the code, but from 
the commit log I read that he removed those messages that were 
differing only slightly from others)

For the rest, I agree that formal changes and such are not possible now 
and maybe Keith misunderstood my request to commit the message fixes. I 
was talking about the wrong usage of plural forms.
