we now have an option in the GUI to hide ONE particular item in ONE particular 
menu? IMHO that's absurd and unecessary.

to see why this doesn't scale, survey 100 KDE users and find all the little 
things they personally do or don't like. find all intersections of "do like" 
and "don't like" and build a GUI that contains all of them.

you've now traded the problem of a context menu with one extra item to adding 
another entry to an already stupidly overcrowded control panel. =/
