People using the meta key can surely benefit from this though. meta combined 
with the num keypad to indicate the direction is a longstanding wish of mine 
that I never implemented.

(Just like all sorts of maximizing by keyboard are available in the 4-key 
scheme, I wouldn't be able to live without them :)
