CVS commit by fisher: 

Added support for differing versions of sftp protocol. Specifically for disabling \
sftp commands not supported by old versions of the sftp protocol. Add username \
detection. This automatically fills in the username/passwd dialog with the ssh \
default username.  Also fixes a problem with the slave always starting two ssh \
processes on connect.
