   I already stated some of this on kfm-devel, but...

   1) we don't know where the cursor is on the screen for wheel movements, 
which are common
   2) I (and other users) find myself constantly wiggling the mouse to keep 
track of it while browsing
   3) It is especially difficult for split views or multiple windows since we 
don't know which one the mouse is over (again, unless we wiggle the mouse)
   4) It's particularily bad for those not using a mouse (laptop, trackball) 
since moving the mouse is far less common.
   5) It's just plain confusing for those who don't expect it (despite the 
fact that it is probably a more logical thing to do)

   Those are my personal reasons.  There are others from other people too.  I 
think there are enough reasons to make this feature default to off.
